Sierra Club, Hawaii Chapter

The Hawaii Chapter of the Sierra Club, the state's largest environmental grassroots organization with 6,000 members, endorsed Neil Abercrombie for governor based on his proven record and detailed plans for improving Hawaii’s food and energy security and protecting the environment.

“Good environmental policy starts with good environmental politicians,” Mark Glick, Chair of the Hawaii Chapter of the Sierra Club, said at a press conference at the State Capitol. “Neil Abercrombie has been a champion for moving Hawai`i towards a sustainable future based on a keen understanding that a healthy environment is the foundation of a strong economy.”
